Last week Class 3 designed a flowerbed for Hull City of Culture 2017. We had to design a flowerbed explaining why we had chosen the colours of the flowers. We had them judged by a very kind neighbour of Mrs Holgate, who is the head gardener at a large local estate. Well done to Phoebe and Harry for a brilliant design and a great description. After we found out the winner, it was straight to work on planting the actual design. As well as judging the designs, Mr Clarke also selected and ordered the flowers. Local nursery owner, Charles from Henleys Nurseries near Market Weighton was very kind and donated the flowers for free! Everyone in Class 3 had an opportunity to help plant the winning design. We then wrote some thank you letters to the Charles at Henleys Nurseries and and Mr Clarke to thank them for all their hard work.
