Deep blue sea display

Foundation have all helped to make our ‘Deep Blue Sea’ for our new topic – it’s looking great.  We used a range of creative skills to make all of the different parts, from cutting and attaching parts, to colour mixing and exploring textures.  A great team effort.

Hunting for pirate treasure

The Foundation Stage received a mysterious map, we followed it to the ‘x’ and found some treasure….!  We think it might be from pirates but we can’t find the key to open it.  I wonder what will happen next…

Maths Week

Foundation have been loved investigating and estimating for our maths week.  We have used these skills to help us with snack time, for our ice investigation and investigating the things we found on our scavenger hunt outside…. What a busy week!

Book vote

We loved having a book vote every day for British Values week.

Digging for dinosaur bones

The children loved being archaeologists.  We dug for dinosaur bones and had to be very careful brushing the sand off and examining them with our magnifying glasses.  We then took them back to our dinosaur museum in the classroom.

Parent’s Phonics

Thank you again to all our parents that came and supported our phonics session, we loved showing you all of our phonics skills.

Tyrannosaurus Drip

The children loved acting out a section of the Tyrannosaurus Drip story ready for our writing.  They were very good at being a mean Tyrannosaurus Rex!

Maths Challenges

The children have been exploring our maths challenges this week. They have been practising writing numbers, counting dinosaurs and recording how many they found and ordering numbers – wow!

French Day

Foundation had lots of fun on French day, we had a go at pointillism painting using only dots, tried some yummy French food and even tried to build the Eiffel Tower.
